This great coat was a gift from on of my aunts from a few years ago and I have recently rediscovered it in my closet. With the tight waist and the wide bottom it has the perfect cut to create a bit more unexpected silhouette with my favorite black flare jeans. I like this pairing a lot, because it is not the typical flare pants+body conscious top combination. The material of this coat is wool, luckily so, because when we shot these images the sun betrayed me and I actually felt pretty cold just with a top under it, but in my recommendation for similar coats I have included a trench coat as well, for you who live under warmer climates. Originally I wanted to add a captain hat to this outfit, but I felt that the lacquered details would have looked over exaggerated with it, but if you would like to put this look together and your coat doesn't have any significant detailing I encourage you to think about further accessories!
